THE POWER OF PLAY

Find Your Fun!

“Play is like oxygen: it’s all around us, yet goes mostly unnoticed or unappreciated until it is missing.” - Stuart Brown, MD, psychiatrist and author of PLAY: HOW IT SHAPES THE BRAIN, OPENS THE IMAGINATION, AND INVIGORATES THE SOUL

Play is vital for problem-solving, creativity, and relationships - and yet we dismiss its importance in our society. “We don’t lose the need for novelty and pleasure as we grow up,” according to Scott G. Eberle, Ph.D, vice president for play studies at The Strong and editor of the American Journal of Play. The following series of workshops give practical methods of incorporating play designed to increase creativity, emotional self-regulation, and student learning. And also laughter!
